Thoughts in my Brain

We're in California, and every time we start getting to Reno, and see the river and the trees, I feel a thrill. I just perk right up.

We went to dinner last night with my sister Shauna and her guy, Weston. Amazing food, hilarious conversation, good times.

We are moving in two weeks. TWO WEEKS left, and I can't get over this. I'm having a hard time processing the fact that for this move, Josh and I have to take care of everything and be responsible adults.

We found an apartment complex in Chapel Hill, and I'm getting excited about it! Washer/dryer in unit, walk-in closets, and 833 square feet. We live in about 550 right now.

I picked up crochet again after a long absence, and have been making cupcakes. The boys love the play food, and I love to crochet, so why not cupcakes?

Everybody needs more cupcakes in their life.

A month?

I'm sorry it's been a month.

I vacillate between stressed and sleepy. But I can assure you my life is marvelous! We're planning to stay here for two weeks, spend a week in California, come back here for one last week, and then out to Michigan for a while before heading to Chapel Hill for good. It's been busy as I'm desperately trying to pare down to the bare essentials, selling or giving away just about everything.

The boys are delightful, as always, and I'm getting fatter by the day!

And as compensation, some pictures from our day on Temple Square two weeks ago. The kids enjoyed a fun little "I Am a Child of God" exhibit at the Church History Museum.

Easter

In reverse chronological order, no less!
(And Natalie--you really shouldn't complain about more pictures. YOU LIVE NEXT DOOR AND SEE MY KIDS EVEN WHEN YOU'RE SICK OF THEM!) :-D

Our awesome Primary presidency put together an Easter activity for the kids. Guy LOVED hunting for his camo-colored easter eggs.

PHOTOS!

I've been remiss. Here are some pictures of my favorite boys (and man!).

And Guy? Is wearing clothes from the boys' section now. And he's in toddler size 11 shoes. He's growing up and I'm not sure what to make of it. So I'm just going to enjoy it.

We have had a FANTASTIC weekend. Really relaxing. Except for the $87 dentist's appointment from which we learned that Josh has to go see an oral surgeon to get his wisdom teeth out due to their proximity to nerves. D'oh.

BOYS!

Another boy for us! And another placenta previa. With any luck this placenta will kindly move out of the way, as its predecessor did.

If it doesn't, then I'm on modified bedrest until delivery, which will be by c-section (which will be scheduled early). But I'm really hoping that won't be the case.

Three boys. Gonna be fun. Crazy! But fun!

UNC-Chapel Hill

It's official. I think. I hope!

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Josh won't be an official student until January, but we're hoping he'll be able to work as a research assistant and take classes starting this summer.

More details will come as soon as we know them!

TV-Free

We are now a television-free household.

I'm excited about the change. It will limit the conflict that's been constant between Guy and Leo every time the set is on. It will limit what Leo gets exposed to. It will encourage me to be a better and more involved mom, instead of zoning for four hours with a book--only to get up to refill sippy cups and hand out bread and cheese.

Guy will still be allowed to use the computer during Leo's naps some days, so he'll still get to see all his favorite characters, but I'm hoping that this will SIGNIFICANTLY limit his exposure to commercials. I caught him singing a jingle the other day. A week or two ago he was endlessly repeating, "Don't get mad. Get glad!"

So we'll see how it goes. The TV is gone. We're not going to get a replacement any time in the near future. And I'm excited about this!
