I wish I could still vote as a California resident, because I feel so strongly about Proposition 8. It is not about "tolerance" and "equal rights". It WILL have a profound effect on California, and the rest of the country.
If you want your children indoctrinated that same-sex marriage is great! The best thing ever! So normal! So natural! then you are welcome to vote accordingly. Me? I'd rather not have to worry that my child being sent to a state school is going to learn all about homosexual behavior in first grade.
Check out this story. FIRST GRADERS taken on a field trip to see the same-sex wedding of their teacher. Do you think any first graders ever went on a field trip to a traditional wedding on state money and school time? I'm extremely doubtful.
Already in Massachusetts parents have lost their rights to opt-out of same-sex indoctrination in the name of "tolerance". One of the most awful words in the English language to me now. In the name of "tolerance" we have to accept as equally viable lifestyles that are morally unacceptable.
So, don't fall for the trap that homosexuals deserve to be married. Because you know what? They do not have that right. And if you give them an inch, their lobbying groups will take you to the moon.

Amen sister. Hope you're doing well otherwise!
No kidding on the tolerance thing!! Hear Hear!
I wish I could vote in CA too. I can't believe that 1st graders went on a field trip like that. They would have needed parent permission. The thing that makes me wary is that those parents gave permission for their kids to do it. And those are the parents who are voting against Prop 8. Bah!
The moon? Srsly? I wanna go.
I couldn't agree with you more. Well said.
