When I looked in front of me at church today, there was a man a few pews ahead with a saw leaning against his leg. "How odd," thought I. Then the first counselor introduced him as an old friend who was going to play the saw for us.

My grandpa used to play the saw for us every Christmas.... It was always a special treat. He even invented a "thumb saver" block he put on the end of the saw with a groove in it for his thumb. I will miss that this year.
