These kids . . .

Yesterday.

I was tired. (Quelle surprise!)

We drove to a park 15 minutes away to enjoy the swings with friends. Guy had an accident in his car seat on the way there.

Oh, well, that's why I keep a change of clothes in the car.

As soon as we arrived home, he hustled to the bathroom, and he had another accident on the rug.

Oh, well, I have to do laundry what with the carseat cover anyway.

While I was changing Leo's diaper, Guy stuffed his pants, underwear, and socks into the toilet and shut the lid.

Oh, well. I went into my room, shut the door, and cried.

Then I got up and did laundry.

That is the extent of my memory of yesterday.

Oh Emily, that is too funny and too sad at the same time. You are at least strong enough to go in your room and shut the door! In situations like that I always think of this mom from my first married ward who spoke in sacrament. She talked about how her kids love for her to read her journal entries from when they were younger...situations like Jack coloring on wall, mom was changing sister's diaper, rushed over to stop him and he ran away stepping in the messy diaper, etc. It was pretty funny to read now, but was the opposite at the time.
She was glad she wrote it down because they really enjoyed looking back...if that makes sense at all!

You are not alone in days like these!

Oh, Emily! If you ever want me to take the boys so you can rest or whatever, please just let me know. I even have room in my car to come pick them up. And I am living in an ginormous house with lots of fun things for little boys to do (plus a little boy to keep Guy company!) and extra adults to help should all four kids need diapers/pottying at the same time :) Let me take them one day this week! I'll call you about it! I need some excitement around here, anyway... :(
