Oh, what do you eat in the summertime?

When all the world is HOT!

Good ideas for summer meals, anyone? It's nearly 90 degrees today, and we settle on bean dip. But the sour cream is almost gone, and the avocado was moldy. Oops. So off Josh went to the Creamery.

So far, this is what I've got for summer.

Sandwiches
Anything grilled--steak, burgers, dogs
Potato, macaroni, pasta, and other cold salads
Bean dip!
Bruschetta (tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil--on crusty bread)
Pizza
Lots of fresh fruit

Tell me, friends, some of your favorite summertime it's hotter than Hades and I don't have a/c meals.

Keeping in mind that the housing we have lined up in Philadelphia has no kitchen. Just a microwave. And a fridge. That'll be interesting.

All those sound great. I love caprese salads/sandwiches (tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and then oil and vinegar). Yum! Also homemade pico and guacamole dip is good. I also really liked the hummus you made that one time (I don't remember when, but I remember really liking it). You could also do something with pesto. Those are some of my ideas...but I'm glad you guys are deciding on a place with a kitchen--instead of a microwave only type place. It will be much better :) You guys are going to have a great experience this summer!
