Over 100 people signed a petition, asking for a gate to be put in a fence so they could trample the grass and save a few feet and a few stairs to get to their cars. The fence was put up likely for the express purpose of keeping you from walking on the grass.
Seriously?
Now they want to mutiny against wymount for the construction and landscaping.
I am unmoved. Yes, I am frustrated, but threatening to never donate to BYU until they change their attitudes and show more compassion? The same BYU that gave us rent credits? The only person losing will be the one with the rotten attitude.
Lame. I'm just disappointed that some of these people, who are my friends, have such a sense of entitlement and lack a perception of reality (and rental rates in the rest of Provo).
You want something to happen? Propose a solution, and in a spirit of reconciliation help make it happen. If you really hate it? Really, truly? You can leave. It's a month-to-month lease.
Now I can get back to disciplining my sassy 2-year-old.

Ok, I would love some more details and pictures! Entitlement is a bad thing, though.
Well, that answered a few questions I had. I got a random email and was left thinking "What is going on at Wymount?" I understand the annoyance with the construction...it's been a LONG process. In AZ we were living in a city that had a day 2 or 3 times a year where people gathered to improve the city. They picked up garbage, repainted over grafiti, etc. The email I received was partially complaining of the leftovers of the construction. My question for them would be, if you don't like it, what can you do to help fix it? Wymount isn't going to ask its residents to help, but if they offer to help pick up bits of concrete and garbage and other rubbish then I'm sure they would be happy for the help. When they knocked out our side walk in our stairwell last year and left it there for a few days before they cleaned it up, if they had left me a wheelbarrow or something I would have cleaned it up. I couldn't have poured the cement to fill it in. Anyways, way too long of a thought and I'm not even sure if I really got to my point! Sorry! How much of a turn over did you guys have this summer?
