He's home!

Seth got home from the hospital last night. It was a bit of a comedy of errors trying to get him home--Mutti had to fit two chairs and maneuver Seth into the car with the help of a skinny twenty-something female nurse. Which they did successfully.

Then I tried to move our car out of the driveway to give more room to maneuver Seth. The car wouldn't start!

We had to wait half an hour for Vati, Josh, and Liesl to get back from a youth temple baptisms trip so they could help unload Seth.

And it was pouring rain! But he's home now and feeling much better, and so far as I can tell recovering rather successfully.

I don't have much more to say, except that I found a great website for those who are looking for an authoritative nutritional guide during pregnancy to prevent toxemia, preeclampsia, placental abruption, and premature birth. Yes, diet DOES have an effect on the health of a pregnancy, despite what your doctor might tell you.

Just talk to a farmer who breeds animals. Any animal he wishes to breed will be fed the optimal diet in order to prevent complications--and it works in most cases.

If you're interested, it's a diet developed by an OB/GYN and used in his practice very successfully. Check out www.blueribbonbaby.org for more information. I'm planning on implementing it ASAP to prevent gestational diabetes and preeclampsia--two conditions that based on my last pregnancy I have cause to worry about.

Yay! I'm glad Seth got home. Funny about the car though--what an experience :) I can't believe that people would think diet isn't important to a growing fetus. It seems like people shouldn't even have to ask that! When are you guys planning on coming back? This week has just FLOWN by. It's been so crazy. I finally left school tonight at 8:40PM and said--I'm not coming back until EARLY Monday morning :) Most of my stuff is ready though. Anyway--hope you guys get Josh's backpack and you have a safe trip back!

That's like when my dad's doctors told him his diet wouldn't affect his cancer. *eye roll*
People need to remember that our body replaces all of it's cells with the things we put into it. Of course diet/nutrition matter!

Hm. Good thing I'm not pregnant. I had 7 chocolate chip cookies and a fudgesicle for dinner last night.

They were homemade chocolate chip cookies, though. That's better, right?
