So, McCain? Sarah Palin?
There's a woman I think I can get behind, once I learn a little bit more about her. What I already know impresses me immensely.
And after being depressed over a Pat Buchanan article this morning regarding the media making race a bigger issue than it should be and the possible ramifications, having a woman on the Republican ticket is going to help counterbalance the ridiculous "You didn't vote for Obama? YOU'RE A FILTHY RACIST, AREN'T YOU!" arguments.
Delightful! And my favorite? A press release from the Democrats skewering Palin for her lack of foreign policy experience.
Um, can we say the pot is calling the kettle black? Just a teensy bit? At least she's a governor. That's no small beans, after defeating two former governors in Alaska for the position. Heaven forbid the Republicans "put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency". I suppose we should just vote for a presidential candidate with no experience instead. Good grief. Talk about grasping at straws.
They're just ticked he picked a woman. Tee hee!

Awesome! Oh, and I love that Obama's sooo committed to change that he picked a white male whose been in politics 30+ years. Sounds different to me!
And I think she's an awesome choice for him. She looks like my woman crush Tina Fey. THAT alone qualifies her.
I was really happy with his pick too. I think she'll be an awesome VP and I'm just excited to see the "race" from now on (it doesn't seem so depressing to me). I think the dems are still in shock a bit :) Haha.
We want to get together with you guys on Monday. Do you have any plans? We were kind of thinking of an impromptu BBQ or something. We don't know yet when my family will be leaving--depending on the weather, but we were thinking maybe in the afternoon sometime. I'll call you later today...
Hey! Sounds like you got back to Provo ok - hopefully you are resting (not really possible with a little boy running around, huh?) I'm glad the placenta has moved - and I hope you're feeling well. I hear you on Palin - I'm pretty excited about her too - November 4th is going to be a great day.
I thought it was funny that on CNN yesterday, the reporter asked a Democratic senator/Obama supporter what his response was to claims that Palin has more legislative experience than Obama. His response? No mention of Obama, he just started listing Republican women than he thought were better than Palin.
I completely agree with your thoughts on Obama, and I'm really excited about Palin. She's smart, knows her stuff, and will bring some youth to McCain's ticket. Good choice!
