One More Day

One more day in Michigan with the in-laws, and it was really a lovely one. Guy slept twelve hours (so I slept 9!) and we had fun playing together this morning while Mutti was gone and Josh & Vati were helping clean the temple. I also read more in Chaim Potok's My Name is Asher Lev. I've read 170 pages in the past two days. Ahh, vacation. But it's a seriously good book so far. I like it a lot, even if it's a bit dark.

Then this afternoon, Guy took a three hour nap and Mutti and I went just the two of us to a brand-new Whole Foods store. Wow. That place is AWESOME. You could easily spend a fortune in there, but a lot of the food they have is reasonably priced and fantastic. We spent nearly two hours wandering up and down each aisle together. I really enjoyed the time we had to chat, too. It was nice getting to know her a bit better.

Unfortunately, Seth is in the hospital. He has been since Monday with a bladder infection and kidney and bladder stones. Poor guy is on morphine because he's so miserable. This means he's on deck for surgery tomorrow to have them removed, and then hopefully he'll be home two or three days after that. But we're not sure they'll be able to do it tomorrow, so it might not be until Monday. At any rate, if you have an extra moment in your prayers and don't mind praying for a stranger, we'd be grateful.

I LOVE Whole Foods :) They just got one in Salt Lake in the Sugarhouse area. I wish they had one closer to Provo :( They always have the most fun foods to try. It's a favorite store of my family. But...my favorite store to go to in Michigan when we visit is Nino Salvaggios. Wow. I wish they were located next to my house. They have so much great produce and I just wanted to take it all home and learn how to make things with it. Anyway, enough about produce dreams :) We made it back to Provo--yay and have already started working on my classroom.

Jeremy talked with Seth in the hospital and I think he was planning on calling him today or tomorrow. Thanks for keeping us updated.
