Austenland

Yesterday afternoon, I started reading Austenland by Shannon Hale, on a recommendation from a friend, and I LOVED IT. I finished it this afternoon during naptime.

It was light, funny, a quick read, but still thoughtful and engaging. And even had a few fun vocabulary words, if I remember correctly.

A great read for any of us who've fallen in love with Colin Firth, our delicious Mr. Darcy.

Go for it. You know you want to :-)

I read this book a little while ago and loved it too :) It was a fun read--especially if you like Jane Austen! Thanks for coming yesterday (and the day before). We had a really great time with you guys and we need to get together more often--especially when the baby's born! Your boys are adorable (my mom couldn't stop talking about Leo's gorgeous eyes) :)

I love that book. Definately different from her Goose Girl series, but well worth the read. I'm glad you liked it too.

I just read that one a week ago, fun quick read. I liked it to. I also just read Hales news novel: The Housewife and the Actor. It was really different from her other stuff and I didn't think I liked it while reading it, but then at the end I did.
