Exhausted

Sundays wear me out, big time. Today especially, since the kids went to bed Saturday an hour and a half late, got up an hour earlier, and then after church we went to Jeremy and Amy's for dinner with a crowd. A fun crowd, but tiring nonetheless. Josh and I came home, put the kids to bed, and then laid down on our bed and passed out for two hours.

Whew.

And tomorrow? Cleaning the house and having the 2nd counselor and his wife over for dinner and FHE. And planning the talks we're giving next Sunday.

Anybody have a magic "keep-the-kids-quiet-during-church" remedy? Anyone?

Food is the best we've come up with so far. Plenty of string cheese, raisins, pb and j, and lots of goldfish. I actually want to do this though - for Mary - http://studio5.ksl.com/index.php?sid=5551045&nid=61 - look under "Folder fun"

Getting them to go to sleep before sacrament meeting always worked for us...but I don't remember what time your new ward starts at. The next bet is pb and honey. It only works for a few minutes!

Let me know when you find one.

I say, don't do food. It makes my kids more cranky when its gone and it sure is messy and distracting for them. Its better now that we've stopped. My new rule, no food once they start going to nursery.
We go through lots of paper and coloring books. But when they are that tired and grouchy there's only one thing left to do.

Go out to the car and strap them in for a while. =)
